SolarBC provides incentives for solar hot water installations in residential homes, as well as training and education initiatives to ensure suitably qualified installer capacity is in place.

A $1000 discount for individual households is available from SolarBC starting at the end of June. An additional $125 is available from LiveSmart BC, plus $500 from ecoENERGY, bringing the total incentive package for domestic solar hot water installations to $1625. Incentives for municipalities, social housing, first nations and schools will be available in September.
